Workshop Cancellation and Refund Policy


The Florida Society of Goldsmiths West Coast Chapter (WCFSG) reserves the right to make changes in workshops, schedules, instructors, or cancel a workshop due to insufficient enrollment. If WCFSG cancels a workshop, students can choose a full refund by check, credit card*, or transfer to another workshop. If a workshop has insufficient enrollment, students will be contacted 2 weeks prior to the start date. We may choose to wait another week to cancel and follow up with registrants on an individual basis. WCFSG tries to avoid cancellations whenever possible.

Weekend and One-day Non-Masters Workshops:

For Students who withdraw 14 days or more prior to the start day of a regular (non-Masters) workshop the options are:

Transfer to another workshop: A 10% administrative fee will be deducted if a student chooses to transfer into another workshop assuming seating is available. Remaining balances will either be refunded or billed as applicable. If you're unable to attend the transferred workshop, transfered tuituions are not refundable. The same fees apply.

Receive a refund: A 25% administrative fee will be deducted from the refund. Cancellations must be made in writing by email or US Postal Service (mail). If you do not receive acknowledgement of your cancellation request within 24 hours, please contact us via phone to we can watch for your email. Phone cancellations are not accepted. All refunds initially paid with a credit card will be provided as a credit to that same credit card.* All refunds will be processed within ten business days upon notification of withdrawal.


For Students who withdraw 8 - 13 days prior to the start day of a regular workshop the options are:

Transfer to another workshop: A 25% administrative fee will be deducted if a student chooses to transfer into another workshop. The remaining balance, if any, will be refunded or billed as applicable. If you're unable to attend the transferred workshop, transfered tuituions are not refundable. The same fees apply.

Receive a refund: A 50% administrative fee will be deducted from the refund. All refunds initially paid with a credit card will be provided as a credit to the that same credit card*. All refunds will be processed within ten business days upon notification of withdrawal.


For Students who withdraw 7 - 0 days prior to the start day of a workshop, it is NOT possible to refund any tuition or material fees because they have already been invested in the course.

Please Note: Cancellations must be made in writing by email or US Postal Service. As the USPS delivery times are unpredictable, email is the fastest and surest way to contact us about a cancellation. 
Students who are unable to attend, may at any time, sell their seats to someone else who meets the workshop's participation requirements. WCFSG must be notified in writing of the change and reserves the right to deny an individual from participating.


Wildacres and Masters Workshops:

WCFSG makes a substantial investment when planning Wildacres and Masters workshops and vacancies can be hard to fill, even if there is a waiting list. So we must charge cancellation fees to offset the cost of these vacancies. Masters workshops will be indicated in the workshop title.

For Students who withdraw 30 days or more prior to the start day of a Wildacres or Masters workshop the options are:

Transfer to another course: A 10% administrative fee will be deducted if a student chooses to transfer to another workshop. The remaining balance, if any, will be refunded. If you're unable to attend the transferred workshop, transferred tuitions are not refundable. The same fees apply.

Receive a refund: A $100 administrative fee will be deducted from the Wildacres tuition. A 25% administrative fee will be deducted from a Masters Workshop refund. All refunds initially paid with a credit card will be provided as a credit to the same credit card.* All refunds will be processed within ten business days upon notification of withdrawal.

For Students who withdraw less than 30 days before the start day of a Wildacres or Master workshop it is NOT possible to refund any tuition or material fees because they have already been invested in the course.

Please Note: WCFSG does not issue or pro-rate refunds for workshops missed by the student. 
* Refunds to credit card payments made through Paypal are subject to Paypal's non-refundable fee policy, currently 2.9% of the total payment. This fee will be deducted from your refund amount.
